Ako Tuhiwaehere | Code Club 4 Teachers - Wairoa

Mar 6, 2019 - Mar 27, 2019

Naumai Haere Mai! Come learn the basics of coding with local kaiako Greg Ford, who with local business AATEA Solutions are celebrating Matihiko March in Te Wairoa. Te Wairoa ICT Club has over 400 tamariki members, with around 100 attending weekly. Learn with other teachers and let’s see what the kids are up to. No prior experience required.

Come learn with the teacher responsible for translating programming application ‘Scratch’ into te reo Māori.

These sessions will be lead in (1) te reo Māori and (2) English.

This is a chance to experience basic programming (coding) out of the prying eyes of our students! Each evening will be focussed on Matariki/Māori New Year. It is a chance to catch up with other local kaiako.

Each Wednesday night in March 2019.

Dates: 6 March, 13 March, 20 March, 27 March

  • Session 1: 4.30-5.30pm (te reo Māori led)
  • Session 2: 5.45-6.45pm (led in English)
